I've got 2gb of ram in my notebook and wondered if there would be any issue with disabling the Windows page file? I imagine it would cut back on the hard disk working as much and keep it's temp down some. Anyone do this already? Thanks,

I did it on my Acer 8204, only noticable difference was that shutdown times were vastly decreased because windows wasn't trying to write 2GB of data to the harddrive.

Before you do that you should run a test.
Run every program you frequently use simultaneously (some possibly run 2 instances). Check your memory usage. If you get a BSOD or have a significant slowdown, I wouldn't disable the pagefile.
You're not just looking at memory used during regular operation. You want to look at memory that Windows uses to "prefetch" program info. Usually when you start programs, they will reserve every bit of memory they could possibly need. This usually uses disk space. If you can get through this test successfully it might be fine to try and disable the pagefile.
Ok To Disable Page File?
