Ok ever since I have had this huge computer freakout when kaspersky found a virus. Now everytime I do a scan with kaspersky and malwarebytes it says I always have a Trojan. I made back os restore disks when i very first got my laptop. I just want a fresh start when I know every virus is off my laptop.

    Here are my questions

Do I have to uninstall every game and anti virus I have on my laptop?

If I uninstall my games the cd keys will still work right?

iI have tons of I-tunes music. How do i back that all up?

Will I lose all my acer drivers?

What exactly do I have to to reformat my computer? Do I just put my back up os disks in the disk drive when I reboot and it will tell what to do from there?

    Again Thanks!

If you are going to install fresh you will want to wipe the drive clean anyway. This means that you will have to re-install all of your games, apps and Anti-virus software anyway. If you uninstall them beforehand and you do that, it will actually be redundant.

This also depends if you have two drives or partitions and all of your data is on a separate partition from your OS. This will exclude, however, drivers, anti-virus software, and other windows apps.

If your product keys are the same as you used and are legit, you should have no trouble re-using them.

Find the folder that contains all of that music (and whatever other stuff you may have as far as documents and videos) and find another media to put it to such as a flash drive or external hard drive until you need to put it back and have that software (e.g. I-tunes) rescan for your libraries and music.

Just as long as you know where to find it all and where to put it back to after a fresh install on your PC.

Well, how do I answer this one? The drivers already installed with your OS have already been installed from an external source or separate location... likely. 'Losing' the drivers would mean if you have those drivers on the drive/partition you are erasing and that is the only location you have them or if you have them on a CD and you lose the CD. Don't worry, you may just have to download them again from Acer's website even if that means from another computer. Don't worry as this is not at all uncommon.
That depends. Do you mean YOUR backup disc designed specifically for a particular machine or a retail purchased OEM CD?
If you are using a specific restore disc for a specific computer it may not work. If you are using an OEM retail purchased disc then all you have to do is boot from it and set it up from there. If you plan to clean the entire computer, remove all partitions and be absolutely sure to format whatever partition you create or you will be installing to.

Sorry for the late response. I hope you didn't happen to get to this before you got a reply on your question. :)

That happens to me a lot!

If you're afraid you lose some of your important data, use puppy linux to back-up all your data. As for the cd-keys of your game, like salayer366 said, there will be no problem of reinstalling them if they are legitimate.

The overall tone of your post tells me that you're a tad inexperienced for the kind of work you are contemplating. Best to find some assistance even if you have to pay for it.

There is no way that anyone here will be able to answer enough of your questions and anticipate every odd circumstance. In other words, no guarantee of success.

Data, once lost, is generally unrecoverable. Especially after a system reinstall.

Somewhat true. Mainly personal data or self-created data is what will be permanently lost. Videos, music, etc. can usually be re-obtained via zeh interwebs!

Be very sure to back up documents you have created as those are always the most important.
