    Hi Everyone,

Hope I'm in the right place here. I'm looking for information regarding on-the-fly (full system partition) encryption for the Vista Ultimate partition on my Macbook Pro. I've dual booted Vista with Leopard and am running a third partition as shared data storage. I tried to use (and would love to use) Bitlocker but have yet been able to get it successfully installed on my system. The other option I am considering is Truecrypt but have heard that it can slow system performance. If anyone has any ideas, regarding the operation of Bitlocker on a MBP, system performance with Truecrypt, or any other options, I'd be much more than grateful. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Cheers,
    Virgil

Where have you heard of TrueCrypt's bad performance? You will of course always lose performance, but with your CPU it should be good enough to go. Truecrypt should also suit you perfectly, as iirc it does not load itself before the MBR.
