A while back I ran Vista tweaking utility on my GF's notebook. There was a bug in the program that caused the computer to not recognize the keyboard input and I was locked out of the computer until I used the on-screen keyboard to punch in the password with my mouse.

Ever since then, the OSK refuses to go away on startup. I have unchecked the option in the keyboard's pull-down menu, but the OSK still reappears on every restart. Not at the login screen, but when the desktop is loading.

Any suggestions on how to keep this from loading?

    Thanks,

    Mac

Look in MSConfig to see if you can turn it off from there? That is assuming Vista still uses MSConfig.

You might try to go to Control Panel - Ease of Access Center - Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard to see if the option "Use On-Screen Keyboard" is checked.
