Hi all, I need to send a one time fax to a US number but I don't have a fax machine. Are there any good online solutions available? I found one which is not free however they give you 1$ to start off with. I will be sending sensitive information thus I need to find a really reputable one. Any good ones?

efax is very reputable and one of the largest sites that deals in this sort of stuff. http://www.efax.com/

You can also try faxing it yourself from your PC if you have Windows XP Pro, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate but you'll need a scanner.

Or you could go to a shop, post office etc. that offers the ability to send faxes - it'll cost, but you get your pages back, and unless the line is taped its safe.

Gonna try out eFax, they have a 1 month free trial. I just need to send a one time fax so I'm looking for a free solution. I remember reading somewhere I gotta pay for this, not sure. I'll let everyone know how it goes. Nice to see this site answering questions relating to internet solutions as well.

Wow, how did the OP miss that option? How'd he/she/it know whether the line is taped or not? www.checkthisline.com?

    Most lines are not taped.
Simple as that. And the possebility of an actual phone line not being taped is higher than that of a company not storing a copy of sent files...
