I'd like to know if anyone can recommend an online storage or backup solution that is comparable in cost to something like Carbonite or Mozy. These two services seemed promising until I realized that if I delete something on my computer it will also be deleted from these services after 30 days. That's not gonna work for me. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks much!

Try Skydrive for up to 25 GB.

ditto, very reliable

Thanks very much! I will check it out.

is there a place online that can store files? i have important data that totals 150gb to 200gb. I looked at the mobileme but that only supports up to 20gb.
Any suggestions?

For that much data, you're going to have to use a paid service, like Mozy. Free services have a limit to the amount of data space you're allocated.

reliable in terms of access or reliable in terms of security?
-
Wait for WINDOWS 7! But why don't you like MOZY? It comes highly recommended?

What has Windows 7 got to do with online storage?
I think groups may have a larger skydrive on Windows Live - also you could use several accounts.
Another idea - a Home Server. -
Windows 7 Ultimate has automatic online back up! If you already intend to get it, why pay twice?
-
Have you got a link?
I just did a little bit of looking around - from what I find on the MS site it can back up via a network.
But it doesn't give you a space to backup to. -
There's automatic backup, and network based backup, but unless you're talking about Microsoft Skydrive (which has a 25GB limit, and is available regardless of operating system), Windows 7 does not have automatic online backup.

sign up for 4+ skydrive accounts? lol
