Ok...so I just installed opera to try it out and now my IE and FF don't work, but opera is working fine. I keep getting 'unable to connect'. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

If you've got IE7, try running the Internet Connection Problem solver app in the 404 page. It's definitely not a browser clash because i've got IE7, Opera 9.22, and Firefox 2.0.0.6 on my system, all running flawlessly.

Yeah, I use Opera as the main browser on my laptop at home, except when IE is required. I don't know why IE and Firefox would suddenly stop working. Do you have a 3rd party firewall? This may have blocked the other browsers. Which is set as the default? Try changing the default and see if it makes a difference.

Yeah I actually had opera on my laptop a a month or two ago, but i took it off. Now i installed it again and this has happened.

No firewalls up and firefox is still my default.

I'm just going to do a system restore...

I did a system restore. I think it was the new version of Opera that messed everything up.

Has anyone downloaded the new one and had this problem after downloading the new version of opera?

I've installed the latest versions of all three of my browsers. Even those pitifully useless (by the numbers) 2.0.0.5 and 2.0.0.6 Firefox updates. The updates have always worked flawlessly, IE6 ---> IE7 just needed a reboot.

I can assure you Opera did not cause the problem :/
