I've recently been using Opera and i am very impressed with it. Especially the scrolling is a lot faster (and smoother) than Firefox.

Is there anyway I can have the same scrolling in Firefox?

I've tried the setting 'smooth scroll' but that makes it worse.

i dont think it is possible, i think it has something to do with the rendering engine the browser use or what not. im not a software engineer, thats just an educated guess, so dont quote me on that :)

dave, maybe u havent try the new opera 9.5 it is awesome! very very significant improvement compared to the old one. they could have call it opera 10!

I'm guessing you have a better system.

But let's forget smooth and focus on the speed, cause thats what I'm after.

I find Opera's to be alot smoother than FF not that FF has bad scrolling. I kinda thought that Opera was too smooth. It took getting use to.

Ok I've found somewhat of a workaround: I've just adjusted the scrolling speed in configuration panel for my mouse wheel.

not the perfect solution so suggestions are still welcome. Maybe some firefox hidden setting?

Yeah, Opera 9.5's a huge improvement in speed and appearance. I think Safari has the best scrolling of all the browsers i've tried.

lol, better system. This computer's from 2003.

I am happy to say that with the latest update the scrolling with "Yet Another Smooth Scrolling" has become very fast.
