None of the features in that list are going to get me very excited.

Opera is like Firefox with loads of add-ons but more stability (due to them bein propietary).

I use it as a main browser but sometimes it is annoying cause some pages identify it as opera mini or mobile and render the page for mobiles.
Also some add-ons from Firefox I miss...

All in all I love it though :)

I must admit I use Opera, it's better than IE (mind you anything is really lol) and I didn't like FF3 or Safari...

Opera has features built in as standard that the others have copied with add-ons... (Speed Dial anyone...(",)

I have Firefox (V3.01) currently as my default browser, but also currently have Opera (V9.52) and IE (V7) installed.

Still waiting for the updated Opera Mobile to be released.

Why do you have so many browsers installed? If possible, I'd uninstall IE completely. :/

Ditto for wishing for an IE-less PC. And I would never install Chrome nor Safari in the first place. And I so rarely use Opera it, too, may get uninstalled (again).

I thought it was updated to 9.51 already. But really, what you ought to do is just install Opera directly to a flash drive. You'll have to uninstall it first (or install a different version than the one(s) on your hard drive), but it works just fine to install to a flash drive. Doesn't save data, but with Opera Link you don't need to.

I tried that. Thought I had succeeded, but about a week later a link opened in IE anyways. I'd just succeeded in messing up settings enough that I couldn't start IE except from a Windows Explorer window.

You forgot the most important part of 9.60!

*Opera Link now allows synchronization of browsing history and custom search engines.

Which makes it come even closer to having your desktop browser anywhere at any computer. All they need to do now is synchronize the preferences - I really hope they do that in the next release, as setting shortcut keys on every computer is a bit time-consuming. Still much better than any other browser in having your own settings, though.

I have tested the browsing history sync and it works. Custom search engines I was going to on Friday but forgot. I'll try to remember tomorrow.

Also, you ought to link to the official download site: http://www.opera.com/products/desktop/next/

Been using Opera 9.60 since about an hour after its release; no signs at all that it's Beta thus far.

If you successfully uninstall IE7, you just get hit with IE6 lol. And FileHippo is legit and trusted. No need to get the official link from the Opera site.
