I cannot figure out how to easily and quickly access and manage RSS feeds in Opera 9. It seems that the only way to access feeds is by clicking on the Feeds menu in the menu bar and then Read Feeds, after which I'm presented with a very ugly and messy screen with all the feeds piled up dating back to the stoneage.
I was wondering if there is a widget or something that would make this much more user friendly.

don't know of any but let me know if you find one since Opera is my main browser and I would hate to run into such a headache.

Sorry to reopen such an old thread, but it seems to be at least a part of my question and it went essentially unanswered.

In addition to the ease of opening question, I have another, more pressing issue.

With RSS Feeds in Opera, each individual feed can be customized; however, it does not appear that all feeds can be at once. Since I have hundreds of RSS feeds (that I can import in OPML format), I would like to be able to set the "SHOW" characteristics for them all all at once, but can only find how to do each individually. It would seem that I should be able to, for example, set all feeds to not show read items, but it seems I can only to this to each feed. One at a time.

    Anyone know of a way?

Yeah. I had already seen both of those.

    Bottom line:
    1. Opera does not provide any means to customize the appearance of the RSS feeds
    2. Opera does not provide any means to globally set all defaults values for all feeds
    3. Opera does not provide any means for a structure to the feeds. If there is one in the imported OPML, it is ignored; there is no means to create a structure within Opera; and of course, there is no means to export OPML with a structure since there cannot be one.

Too bad. RSS is quite fast in Opera 9.25, but the usability falls flat. And I tried the 9.5 Beta, but could not even import the OPML; Opera crashes.

I could not find any reference to RSS in the Opera 9.5 Change Log. Anyway, sometimes I just have to see for myself. :)

Right now I'm using both Firefox+Sage and Opera. Still looking, though. The best I have found is NewsBreak on the PPC.
