Using Opera, how can one download the wallpaper from bing.com? I can do so easily in Internet explorer, but Opera doesn't allow me to do that.

interesting, i tried now and it locked up the browser. I believe you need silverlight. :)

Try using Bing Downloader. It's a standalone app but works well. :) http://bing.codeplex.com/

In Firefox you can get to it by using the Tools - page info - media tab... i can't find something analogous for Opera. A shame since i use that method for getting ask.com's backgrounds lol

Short answer: use Firefox or IE

Longer answer: Opera will cache the image. type "opera:cache" in the url. Happy hunting!

edit: I was only partly serious about that, but it is effective (if you have to use Opera). Just do it right after visiting bing, obviously. Unless you enjoy headaches. :)

I gave up on Opera a while back when I realized that I was using it more because I wanted to be an Opera user than because I found it useful.

I hope they stay in business. They've done some good work. But it always seems like they're more interested in developing the next big feature than making sure they support the features that matter to users right now.
Like right-click image grabbing. Or properly rendering even poorly coded pages.

The only reason why I'm using Opera is because of its very smooth scrolling on my netbook as well. Other than that, Opera isn't as good as IE8 in terms of CPU ussage, RAM ussage, Compatibility and almost anything else.
