    Hi guys,
I recently bought Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and for the most part, it seems to be running fine. It hasn't found any malicious program which means I'm safer than I thought :D . Reason I bought Kaspersky was because its apparently the 'best' security package around, closely followed by Eset NOD 32.
However, am I having some minor problems which are becoming quite annoying and also I'm yet to understand some parts of the package.

No.1 - Whenever I go to website and it requires security certification (hotmail etc), my web browser, IE7, always comes up with this screen. This has only started appearing since I installed Kaspersky.

No.2 - In the scan menu, there seems to be four different types of scan you can carry out. For a full comprehensive scan of your system, do these need to be carried out seperatly or can it be done in one go?
No.3 - I find that sometimes Kaspersky takes up quite a bit of CPU power once everything else has loaded. This goes together with a process called 'Trustedinstaller.exe'? What is this exactly and is it linked with Kaspersky? Both of these use up to 55% of my CPU untill 4 - 5 minutes after my computer has settled down after startup.

Hopefully someone can help with these issues.
    Thanks!!

EDIT: Oh crap, didn't see that sub forum on anti-virus/security software. Can someone move it there please. :D

    1. Disable SSL scanning (or encryption scanning). I am not sure how it is called anymore.
    2. I don't understand what you're trying to ask. If you select the highest level it will do whatever the other levels do + more.
    3. TrustedInstaller = Windows process that installs updates.

I suggest you go to Kaspersky Forum to find out more and get more precise answers.

Thanks dude. About the SSL scanning, is there anyway to keep this enabled and not get this error. I'm just thinking in that I want to be safe as possible etc.
On the second point, KIE 7.0 has four scan options.

If I want to scan my computer thoroughly, do I need to carry out each scan seperatly?

You are as safe as you can be with it disabled.
Leave the default settings for real-time scanning and chose whatever you want for on-demand.
What you see there is nothing related to the level of scanning. You can chose whatever you may want to scan there. Leave that out :).
If you want to scan it thoroughly go to Scan -> My Computer and chose the highest level.

Like I've said before, go to Kaspersky's forum. They are better at these things. I had some wide knowledge about their products, but lost interest. I am a member (round 1000 posts, so been there some time).

Is your time and time zone setting are correct?

It doesn't have anything to do with the time & time zone.
Kaspersky has SSL scanning and therefore it might cause some problems with secure sites.

You're welcome. Always consider going to more "specialized" forums (such as developer's site) when it comes to technical questions, since there always are more knowledgeable people there (the % is a lot higher anyway). Kaspersky Forum is great, I enjoyed it.

Its a lot more convenient going to a forum in which you're a current member in. But yeh, I agree, they'll be able to give more advice.
