I keep getting this error whenever i wanted to burn an image.
I've googled it and a few suggested
1st - Change the DVD-burner
2nd - Change the image cds to better brand
3rd - Update the DVD-burner firmware
Now...... before i do the 1st, i wanted to really make sure that it is the problem.
As for the 2nd, i tried different brands but still the same result
As for the 3rd, where can i download the driver update? I googled it but found some garbage websites -_-.
I don't really know the model of the DVD-burner brand
but if i go to system information, it says
ATAPI DVD A DH16A3S download drivers
From the program ImgBurner, it says that my DVD is
ATAPI DVD A DH16A3S 3A12 (ATAPI)
Can anyone help me?
-
You need to try a different burning program first.
-
oh yeah that too.
I tried both Nero and Imgburner
same thing -
Try deleting upper and lower filters:
open the Windows Registry and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. . Delete the keys named UpperFilters and LowerFilters and reboot
If it's a no go, reinstall all cd writing software and/or cd/dvd drivers. -
i can only find upperfilters
so i deleted that and reboot -
lol ima freak... ok im just bored
link for firmware
when you flash firmware, eject the drive tray out and don't alt+tab into hl2 -
ummm is this the driver for mine though?
(ive heard that there can be a lot of problem if flashed in an incorrect manner)
When i launch the program, it says
---------------------------
Error

This utility is only for ATAPI DVD A DH16A3S drive.

i think so... the model number reminded me of lite on so i searched on their site.
googling i found this which tells me that flashing the one from before might be a little complicated even if it is the same model.. -
hmmm........
so there's not really a newer driver for this one?
I tried driver update but it says its updated to the max~ -
anyone?
I dont want to send it for service if there's anything that can be done~ -

oh wow thats an annoying signature
-
sorry
ummm so yeah, you have any solutions to suggest? -
try this:
http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/9990/
But I would just get/try another drive, since they are cheap... no need to send it in.
