I used winx product but the outcome was too jittery, particularly in a large panning scenes. This product was recommended in a couple of forums on internet and I use it to backup DVDs mainly kids movies and then covert to watch via Apple TV or iPad

Ripping DVDs/Blu-Rays for your own use falls under fair use as far as we're concerned, so no issues discussing that. I checked with other mods just to make sure my memory wasn't playing tricks on me.
Now, I'm not sure what the problem is. If I understood correctly, you're getting choppy playback on some scenes. I would go into the options of the program you are using and look at the encoding settings, mostly the format, container as well as the bitrate. If a certain bitrate is forced or the program is set to automatic, it may just not be high enough for certain scenes.
On the other hand, if you are streaming this over a wireless network, it is entirely possible that the network can't handle the higher bitrate for those scenes.
Ideally, we need more information:
What file format are you using (.mp4, .mkv, etc.)?
What encoding format are you using (h264, etc.)?
How are you playing the files (ethernet, wi-fi, usb drive, extrenal hard drive, etc.)? -
I have been very happy with DVD Catalyst. It's also only $6. DVD Catalyst
HTWingNut likes this.
Other option to get fluent playback on my apple device except winx product?
