Ok guys, got a little issue.
Installed office o7 standard and setup to use my Uni ox.ac.uk email address.
The issue is its starting itself on Windows (Home Premium 64bit) startup.
Havent changed any setting or anything different than when i installed and set it up before on my old laptop and it didnt happen then.
Any ideas on a resolution?
(checked msconfig and its not on the startup list there so im out of ideas)

happens all the time? the only time i see such behavior is if outlook was open, windows installs updates that require reboot, reboot occurs without user, windows will properly close outlook restart and launch outlook again on logon
only other thing i can suggest is if you haven't yet install the just released Office 2007 SP3 -
cheers ... -
SP3 is already installed, also, I always close it before shutting the machine down, or putting it into standby.
It does happen each time i load windows though.
What other startup processes could provoke it to start? -
Also sorry if you already checked, but is there an entry for outlook in the startup folder? -
as for Task scheduler library the only thing in that is Java Updater.
Its still baffling me, and is an annoying inconveniance. -
NewAge, one other thing to check is open regedit, and search for C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe
If you find it under a key such as
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
It can be deleted. (These should also show up w/msconfig, but that is the only other spot I can think of). -
Checked all that, still, nothing there.
Going to try uninstalling it (again) and reinstalling. -
Its not resolved it, the popup box asking for my uni username and password still pops up on startup.
its really annoying me now. -
NewAge, when you setup the account are you entering something like the attached?

My bad on the link , I set up an attachment instead
-
Nope its done via microsoft exchange and all entered manually
-
Anything in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup ?
-
Checked, exactly the same as the startup folder on the start menu.
