Hey guys. I recently received an HTC Fuze. Now, I have legal copies of Outlook 2007 and Exchange Server 2007. My phone has wifi and my campus has wifi everywhere. I want to leave my laptop turned on in my dorm room and sync my phone via wifi anywhere on campus. How would I do this?
I have Outlook setup to check for emails every 30 minutes (I receive about 20 to 30 emails throughout my day) and it downloads them from my college's server. The college has an Exchange Server, but it's only meant for faculty and staff. I need some way to sync my phone as soon as I receive a new email in Outlook. I do not want to use any data plan because I'm always in a wifi zone. I do not want to carry my laptop around because I'm always on the run managing research, club, contacting companies, etc.
Anyone have any ideas?![]()
Thanks
I've been looking into Exchange Server since it has direct push functionality, but I do not know if I can use Exchange Server to get my emails from my college's mail server. I can host any server on campus as long as I do not eat up bandwidth.

Can you set your Emails to auto forward? If so, just sign up to a free exchange (like mail2web) and have your email forwarded to it. That way you will receive emails near instant.
And you can always create a separate POP or IMAP account (depending on what your email is) for the purpose of replying directly from the original email address.
I hope I made sense.
