I have two outlook calendars; one on my personal laptop and another on my work desktop.

I want to sync both of these calendars to my wm6.1 touch-diamond.

I fear that if i set my phone to sync to both PCs, i may end up with it only syncing one calendar and deleting the other to be replaced by the undeleted one.

i.e. My phone syncs my work calendar, then when plugged into my personal computer simply replaces my personal calendar with the work one.

Is there any way of it combining both?

Or alternatively, i don't mind replacing my work calendar with my personal and then simply replacing the lost appointments after; how would i go about doing that?

any help on this is greatly appreciated.
    :)

I don't know of an easy way to sync your work computer with your personal computer with your phone. I have suggested to people a hosted Exchange account. It is about $90 a year and you can not only sync your calender, but your task lists, and contacts and emails between any number of computers.

To replace your work calender with your personal calender, you could always export your calender into a .pst file and then import it.

Are both OS's the same? I mean are both XP or both Vista?

Because when I synced 2 Outlook Calendars in XP (one work and one personal) to my BlackJack II nothing was lost, the calendars were just both synced so that all 3 were the same. Syncing with XP at work and Vista at home seems to have broken the Vista sync connection, and I have not figured out how to remedy that yet.

Wow, great. That was some speedy replying!

My work OS is XP Pro and my personal is Vista Business

I'd preferably attempt to do this without installing any additional software, but by all means i'll take a look at this one if i can't find another solution; thanks.

Okay, i might try to simply replace my work calendar with a .pst of my personal, that sounds like a good plan. Cheers.

However would that mean it then becomes basically one calendar, and changes to the work calendar would also be made (after syncing) on my personal outlook also? as that is the effect i'm after.

I edited before I saw your post, you may have issues getting Vista and XP to sync with one phone, I have so far at least.

My work PC is XP also. But I use 2007 on both my computers.

When you merge your personal calender into your work calender, they will still be two discrete calenders. Changes to one PC will not affect the calender on the other PC. For you to get the effect you want, you'll need an Exchange account. Changes to one PC will affect all your calenders.

Dont know if this will help but as we use this for our outlook pcs and blackberries. I opened a google account and created calander. All of the desktops use google calander sync with the same user names so they stay synced to the main calander. The blackberries sync using their normal desktop software to outlook apart from mine that use google mobile sync to sync various google calanders 1 way to my phone.

Basically the plan was to use google to help with the sync but it ended up becoming the main system with multiple calanders...
Just make a copy of your outlook calander and play with it a bit...

This is where I got it from:

For a while, I used my Treo as the main sync method. A few years ago, I would sync one computer with the Treo and then go to my other computer and sync that computer with the Treo. It wasn't all that reliable. Mainly when you delete events, it sometimes or sometimes will not delete on the other calenders when you sync up. The uncertainty of it was just a pain in the rear. Microsoft Exchange was design for this reason. Or you could use Lotus Notes.
