If Im going to start using Outlook on my new laptop as opposed to Outlook Express on my old, can someone tell me the proper way to transfer my old email to the new computer and program.

The way I always backed up the mail in my outlook express was to just copy the Application Data folder in the Windows folder and that has the files that represent the mail folders. Then Id import and point to those when reloading all system software. But is there a way to just EXPORT all mail to some file or something so I can IMPORT it from that?? Outlook Express seems to only be able to EXPORT to Microsoft Exchange (and I have no idea what that is)

What is the PROPER way to take all mail from my old computer from OUTLOOK EXPRESS, and import it to my new computer in OUTLOOK???

And lets assume I CANT do this over a network.

If you get Outlook Express all setup like on your other laptop and then open up outlook it should ask you if you want to make it the default mail application, and then it should ask if you want to import your mail from Outlook Express. I haven't done this in about 4 years so that may not be exactly it, but that is what I remember.
