I been having issues with adware since over 99% sites like Best Buy, HP, PetCo, Intel and many more. I get this survey thing and I right away close it and clear cookies and history but it never goes away. I am worried if my computer is infected and need to fix this now before it gets more surveys.

Here's a pic of the survey from intel.com I uploaded it.

There are tons of these similar things going on my PC and it's driving my crazy.

That's strange the pic didn't get uploaded. I tried again but hopefully it works now.

Those come from the site and there is nothing you can to do stop them short of not going to those sites. Your only other options is to block those ads with adware software and even then if you use them those sites will block you from accessing them as well. So you have choices to go to site but use caution and close popups or use adblocker programs and get blocked.

My pic is gone again but did you get to see what I uploaded? Are you sure they come from the site and not from adware? I use Adblock Plus for my internet explorer but it shows up so I thought it was adware in my computer.

in the settings of ABP, uncheck the box which says "Allow some non-intrusive advertising"

Also, add the Easy Privacy filter by subscribing to it here: https://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions

Then enable the Disable Tracking and Disable Malware Features by clicking on them here: https://adblockplus.org/en/features#malware

I'm OK with some subtly placed ads but these days it's in your face, all over the place, click-bait or trickery (i.e. mimic an error message). Long gone are the days with some ads placed along the sidebar or a the top of a page. Now it's everywhere and super annoying. I know sites have to make money somehow, but the way its done these days is more like a loud salesman getting in your face when you walk in the front door instead of some flyers scattered throughout the store with some video ads running on TV's in the background.

Yes. Sometimes I wonder if the people behind it ever tries it themselves. Most sites pretty much begs you to block ads.

With HOSTS, PeerBlock, AdGuard, Ghostery and Opera AdBlocker combined I get rid of a lot of crap.

While it sounds possible, I have no idea of how I would know, or the drawbacks of it.

The only reason I keep on using the combination is because it works for me.

That's the main problem. I had to block those myself cause it was so annoying and some as you mention give you no way to kill or stop it til it runs which makes the problem worse.

Mixing and matching doesn't work one will block the other or one will not work while the other works so you have no way to know which is effective and which one is not.

I just use the hosts edits that I found and use and it more then does the job to kill those ads and popups. Too many just makes each other them block each other.
