I have recently updated my nVidia 9600M GS drivers to more recent ones, first 177.92 and now 178.13, however I have noticed that the AverTV app that I have no longer overlays the text information that appears in the top right hand corner (channel number, what's on etc.).

Instead I get a black bar across the top containing the text.

This didn't happen with the original drivers I had installed for the video card.

Also Dscaler doesn't work due to this problem, whereas it was working before with the original drivers.

This problem is evident in both XP and Vista so it's not an OS problem from what I can tell.

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem and how I could go about solving it, aside from going back to the original drivers, which I'd rather not do as it means I get bad FPS in some games I have?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice on this. :)
