Hi, i got my vista upgrade disc while back, and yesterday i decided that i will upgrade to vista.

The first 6-7 steps went fine, flash bios, uninstalled stuff, but when it gets to the real vista installing.. it was checking for incompatibility and after 5 min it ALWAYS shows up "Computer incompatible for Vista" my computer is DEFINITELY compatible..

Any proposed solutions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time
    Kevin

Did the thing give any reason why it thinks that your computer is incompatible?
Sometimes windows just raves about hardware detection and identification.

You probably have some sort of software that isn't going to be able to work with Vista after the upgrade. Or maybe you have some hardware that Vista doesn't recognize or have drivers for. But most likely, it's a BIOS version. You said that you flashed the BIOS, but I would go to Toshiba's website to get the most recent version of the BIOS for your machine as possible.

Ah, thank you guys, I found the problem.

Apparently Daemon Tools isn't compatible with Vista, so after I uninstalled it everything went smooth.

Yeah, you probably don't want to install Daemon Tools in Vista. One of the mods here (Night_2004) had issues that possibly originated with Daemon Tools where Vista freaked out and thought he was running a pirated copy.
