The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    sure, try "soulseek" @ www.slsknet.org

best p2p software for music imho

people who argue that p2p brings the music industry down dont see the point. it is not the users who have to be blamed for the situation ("piracy", how US government calls it), it is the music industry itself who should start accepting internet revolution and start finding new ways. many nations worldwide, mostly in europe, dont see p2p as illegal. this is future :)

    Which european nations are those?

Anyway, regardless of what brings the music industry down, that stil ldoes not make it legal to pirate music. It also does not change the rules here at NBR about talking about pirating software or music.

Would you follow a decadent, outdated law that didn't make sense in today's world, Jalf? Some might say that "the law is the law", but others just follow common sense.

And uh, keep it legal. And this isn't the place if you want to chat about P2P, sorry about that.
