    Hi,
I have an HP eliteBOok 8730W. I need to install windows XP Pro
in Pc Multiprocessor MPS mode, to avoid audio dropouts that
I have with my firewire card.
I tried to install windows XP (in the cd I uploaded the SATA drivers),
I pressed F5 then I had choose "Pc multiprocessors MPS". The first step of
the installation process was ok, but when the system finished to load the
files and prepared it, to the real installation of the OS (choose of path, hard drive format....etc)
the Process stops. And I can see just a blank screen with a blinking cursor....
    Please help me!!!!

Install XP without that option. You can enable multiprocessor MPS later in Device Manager, and then restarting the computer.
