I'm converting some of my videos over to raw for processing and editing. I'm using RGBRAW for the video, but for audio there's a lot of PCM choices.

    For example:

    pcm_s16le
    pcm_s16be
    pcm_u16le
    pcm_s24le

I get that the number is the bit depth, but I can't find a clear answer on what the rest means. Help?

No decoders I have ever used really go into that kind of choice, just uncompressed pcm.

pcm in laymens is basically .wav

its traditionally a lossless format and thus you have no reason to covert anything to pcm really because it would just increase your file size if your currently in a lossy format and not gain you any extra quality, then when you compress it again for your final render you will lose quality once again for the lossy format.
