"Make sure you don't have Windows Classic theme selected in Display properties: 1. Right-click an empty area of the desktop, and then click Properties. 2. Click the Themes tab, select "Windows XP" theme in the Theme list and then click OK"

Sounds simple right? eerrrgggghhh wrong. when i click on the themese tab there is only Modified theme, my current theme, and windows classic, and of course BROWSE. There is no Windows XP.

I don't think Vista includes the Windows XP theme, so that's why it's not available. Does PCMark05 run if you're using Aero or Vista Basic for your theme?
