    Please help me.

I have just created a new email account and then i proceeded to create a new facebook account.

After typing alll the details on facebook I click the 'create account' button and suddenly it said that a user with the same email already exists!

I thought maybe I had hit the button twice. I tried loging in but password was 'wrong'.

So I clicked reset password. I saw my new account and it even had a picture on it! And the facebok changed to dutch.

When they sent me the reset password link, I clicked it and then they told me I should change my email and my alternate email accounts password. I did not provide an alternate email!

Whats going on please help me Im scared! What should I do now?

I still don't get why people are so fascinated with Facebook? You literally expose yourself to so many potential problems by putting out personal information. There's my rant. :)

You need to post this on the Facebook forums. You're scared of identity theft aren't you? Proves my point on the problems and can of worms you open when posting your life on Facebook.

^ no, fortunately its not my original facebook. I made a new email with a random name & same with the facebook that has no real info of mine.

Youre making me more nervous by replying that way. I cant post of facebook help forums because Im scared that if I use my other fb account It'll get hacked too!

Though facebook claims to have decent security, it's unbelievably easy for accounts to be phished. I had two, that I never logged into get phished and FB had the nerve to tell me that I may have typed the credentials in somewhere. Riiiiiight.

I recommend you try from a different browser on perhaps a different machine. Need to rule out your machine as a possible factor in the security breach.

    Someone call the cyber police.

Sorry man, I had to. This happens all the time.

    1) Run a full virus scan
    2) Recover the account
    3) Change the e-mail password which you have access to
    4) Go to your profile (settings) and change the email listed. https://www.facebook.com/editaccount.php
