Id like to undo what it just did...and move everything back to their original places in my Inbox.

    Thanks.

Just load the archive your emails have been moved to, and move the items back. Click on Options->Advanced->AutoArchive Settings if you don't remember the archive file's name/location. Since items are moved by date, you can simply select the range of dates you're interested in, and move those emails back.

How exactly do you "load the archive"?

generally, when you run an archive, the archive is automatically loaded -- look on the bottom of the folder heirarchy in outlook and see if ARCHIVE is there...click the plus to expand it and then you can access the emails in those folders (and drag and drop them in the original location).

Better, still, leave them there and just access them when you need them. Outlook works better with smaller PST files.

If the ARCHIVE folder is not present at the bottom of the outlook heirarchy, go to FILE > OPEN > OUTLOOK DATA FILE and find the archive PST--it should be in the same place as your personal folder pst file.
