I am looking to connect my PS3 controller to my lappy with has a built-in bluetooth. I also wanna be able to emulate it as a xbox 360 emulator so it can be used on games that only work with a x360 controller. I tried it with moitionjoy but for some reason it does not work with my built-in bluetooth.

Reason why i want to do this: testing purposes.

But will windows be able to install the correct drivers on its own if moitionjoy fails to install the driver?

No, there is no native driver for the PS3 controller.

Not necessarily, but you can grab those from Intel's website easily enough.

if you have the wireless N2230 combo wi-fi-bluetooth I won't mess installing the motionjoy drivers is best to get a cheap 10 bucks bluetooth dongle just for motionjoy that is the way I use it on my rMBP because I can't never get it to work with the internal bluetooth

Some bluetooth cards won't work with motionjoy software and even some dongles don't work either you may want to read their forum before purchasing anything this is the one I have but they don't even make it anymore it has a little led that blinks when your bluetooth device is paired with it Manhattan BLUETOOTH DONGLE, USB, MINI CLASS2+EDR (179218) - FixYa

if all else fails, you can plug your controller in through usb and it will work that way, i used to use that setup for certain games(when i was a PC noob gamer). Or you could buy an Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver and use an wireless xbox 360 controller.

Did you plug it in with the USB cord first to pair it with your system? I couldn't get it to work until I did that.

Once they were paired I had 2 Ps3 wireless controllers working through Bluetooth and a wired Xbox controller for some Arcade style party games :)

Yes i plugged and paired it with the sys. USB works.

EDIT: THis is starting to become anoying! Unistalling the bluetooth drivers was no joy since the moitionjoy does not detect it. Here is the log when trying to install:

    INFO:InstallDriver start...

    SUCCESS:Set Selected Device.

    SUCCESS:Get Device Install Params.

    SUCCESS:Set Device Install Params.

    SUCCESS:Building Driver Info List.

ERROR:Call Class Installer fail.. Error code:0X-1ffffdd8
