    If you are using stuff like.. Vista Glazz, etc.... or if you messed with your system files... Un do it before you install SP1! or have fun poking around in safe mode and cmd prompt like I did :(

    Thanks for the information. Anyway I don't mess with that stuff, so my SP1 install went quick and smooth :)

    I think I'll be waiting until the maker of VistaGlazz comes out with the new version before i go ahead and update.

    I did it with vista glass still enables and I havent seen any problems yet... I uninstalled it after SP1 since it didnt work anymore. Should I worry?

    you used the program right? I did the manual file replacements.. anyways.. my UAC is dead.. I can't alter or change anything and I can't see my control panel.. :eek: wooohoo.. lol

    I had VistaGlazz installed and a theme in effect when I installed SP1, and when I rebooted, the theme was gone and no transparency, so I uninstalled VistaGlazz and the theme, and then manually patched my files according to mr.bobharris' guide, reinstalled the theme, and everything is working fine now....
