I've just received my dv2000t and have downloaded a trial version of Parallels to play with Fedora Linux. Everything appears to be working fine but I receive the below message asking me to enable VT-x mode.
Parallels Workstation
Your CPU supports Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) but it is currently disabled. Virtual machine will be started without VT-x support (in software virtualization mode). If you want to run virtual machines in VT-x mode, please enable VT-x support in your host computer BIOS.
When going through the BIOS configuration I do not see any options to enable VT-x. I'm running BIOS version F.11 which appears to be the latest. My CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 which I believe should be able to run VT-x. I haven't had any luck in the HP or Parallels website for information.
Any help with this would be appreciated since I believe that my virtualization performance isn't reaching it true potention since it isn't fully taking advantage of the hardware.
As a side note, Parallels seems significantly faster than Virtual PC (even the newer Virtual PC 2007 beta). Thanks again!!

Some manufacturers disable it for some reason.
