I'm trying to install Ubuntu Ultimate v2.1. But whenever i try to resize my current partition (since i cant do it in Ubunto) it says

    Logical disk manager:
"The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has
no enabled devices associated with it"

Both the RCP (or whatever it is) and the other required service are set to auto start and running.

    Can anyone please help
    Thanks

I kept having weird issues with the partition manager too. Hopefully it is just because this whole thing is a beta. Booted into my Vista partition and the manager in there worked fine.

As to the question, we should ask about the support of the software.
on another side, if we need partition manage software for free we could search "free partition software" on Google, there are lot of products.
However, we also could trailpay commercial products like EASEUS, Acronis, etc
