+rep (tomorrow...) -
I'm downloading it right now.
18 updates + 1 optional -
The MU payload for machines hereabout (Win7 Pro x64) was 19 updates and approx 191 Mb downloaded. This included 5 updates for Office 2010.
We've suppressed MSIE v9. -
I had over 20 too
-
23 + 1 Optional for me.
Cheers -
14 for Windows 7 (2 "recommended," including MSRT for April 2011)
1 for Visual Studio 2008, something I didn't know was installed
4 for Office 2010
86.6MB total -
25 and 26 for me, perhaps because I have Office 2007 and Visual Studio on both my machines. Thanks for the heads up!
-
14 plus 3 optional for me. Running windows 7 64bit
-
20 + 2 optional for Win 7 x64.
-
the only update i had was for a browser i will never use (IE9).
-
16 for me but 1 was for MSE
-
Sahugani, security updates for IE9 are still important since it's installed on your computer whether you like it or not =p
-
@sahugani
The IE rendering engine is an integral part of Windows 7. You can upgrade to IE 9 and not use the actual browser and still benefit from the updates to the underlying engine. -
20+1 optional. 110mb. Biggest one I've seen.
-
-
16 updates Win7 X64
Cheers

Anyone notice if after the updates, it's dumped a load of files in another drive, I've just noticed on my D:, a load of leftover files, VC-RED.cab and MSI files, looks as if they were to do with the Visual C++ update maybe?
-
800MB and I have already unchecked IE 9. Tells you how many MS stuff I am using.
-
23 + 1
So they finally pushed IE9 to me and I happily installed it. ...and then i found out people are already talking about IE 10 on another thread -

bump
Nothing exciting this week other than an optional driver for an external monitor.
An optional driver/update from that massive bunch last week hurt my HP networked printer at home (it doesn't print after the print driver update). Will probably figure it out or rollback the driver one of these days. In the meantime I've been using my other networked Lexmark printer.
So I installed the optional driver for the external monitor a few minutes ago and now I'm waiting for it to crash ha ha
EDIT: Now that I think about it... that broken printer after the update.... hey what a great opportunity to upgrade to a newer and faster printer!! ha ha -
Why would a monitor need a driver?
-
It's to identify some PnP info and also special features of the monitor. After installing the monitor driver, it shows up in the Start -> "Devices and Printers" page. As we click further in there, it shows all the properties of the monitor (too much info in there
ha ha). bye

Well I'll be damned.
I wish some WU driver could fix the issue I'm having on an older PC where the Windows XP bootup screen shows a few corrupted pixels off to the right. The monitor is totally fine once it gets past that screen.
EDIT: I also got a 6MB update for Silverlight. -
^bump. It turns out my printer is just fine after the recent driver update. It's the new IE9 that just can't print!! Everything else prints fine on this printer.

so its not were the problem is -
^ IE9 prints fine on some printers only... but not all printers .... just type "IE9 print problems" in Google and they're reported there. My IE9 actually prints fine on/to a HP 2420, Oki C830DN, Acrobat PDF print driver, etc but not on/to a HP2600n. Pretty strange. We need to root IE9 to remove the printer DRM!!!
bye.
