So Recently my Pavilion began to crash constantly. I would blue screen errors and constant reboot cycles. I attempted to reinstall windows but would still get these errors during the installation process.
I had been advised by several people that my hard drive could be the cause of the problems so I purchased a new one. I began to install vista and during the installation recieved a blue screen. I decided to try again and was a bit more successful but recieved and installation error:
"windows could not set the offline locale information. Error code: 0x80FF0000"
After that error I then get another blue screen crash:
"a driver corrupted pool memory used for holding pages destined for disk"
I then attempted to install windows XP and recieved this blue screen crash:
"windows crash PFN_LIST_CORRUPT 0x0000004E"
So any advice on where to start??

Sounds like it could be the motherboard going...
-
is it one of those with the nvidia motherboard chips?
-
Yah it has an nvidea graphics card...
-
can you post exact system specifications?

What is the exact model of your HP? If it is an older model, it may fall under this warranty enhancement program, in which case your laptop is doomed.
Pavilion constantly crashes, even during windows install....
