Pdf preview icon works in Desktop not in Explorer

Hello, i can preview the first page of pdf file as a thumbnail when the file is in Desktop but when i put the file in Explorer the only thing i get is the pdf icon. Any idea how this can be fixed. I am in Win 7x64.

Change the icon size/View method. Refer here for instructions:

Select 'Medium Icons' or larger and it should display as a thumbnail. (Content and Tiles should work as well.)
