I have a Panasonic Toughbook CF-28S running windows xp media center and I was wondering if I could go to windows 7. Yes I do know that there is a panasonic thread but this is for windows software not questions about it

Memory is quite low on your laptop. I wouldn't run Windows 7 on anything less than 1GB of ram, 2GB is preferable. The drive is also on the low side as Windows 7 takes about 8-9GB but that's doable. However I don't think Windows 7 supports a Pentium III. I believe a Core 2 Duo or a processor that's 1GHz minimum, if i'm not mistaken is required. You are probably going to find out there are no drivers for you're laptop to run Windows 7.

Windows 7's minimum requirements are a 1 GHz CPU and 1 GB of RAM for 32-bit systems. Of course, just because could install it doesn't mean you should install it.
