Prime95 updated to v29.4
1) GIMPS has a new sub-project -- finding (probable) prime Mersenne cofactors.
This sub-project has two parts: 1) Running PRP tests, and 2) Finding
additional factors. To support this new sub-project there are three
new work preferences: PRP on Mersenne cofactors, PRP double-checking on
Mersenne cofactors, ECM on Mersenne cofactors.
2) Like LL tests, PRP tests now support shift counts to aid in running double-checks.
Shift counts are only supported for Mersenne numbers and Mersenne cofactors.
3) PRP tests now support a type of low overhead error checking that almost guarantees
correct results even on flaky hardware. We call this Gerbicz error-checking after
it was proposed by Robert Gerbicz at mersenneforum.org. This error-check only
works for base-2 numbers.
4) Because PRP tests are highly reliable, we now offer the option to do PRP tests
instead of Lucas-Lehmer primality tests. There are 4 new work preferences
similar to LL work preferences: first-time PRP tests, world record PRP tests,
PRP tests on 100 million digit numbers, and PRP double-checking.
If you are looking for a 100 million digit prime, PRP testing is recommended
rather than LL testing.
5) For non-base-2 PRP tests, there is a new option to run each iteration twice and
rollback if a mismatch occurs. Useful only on flaky hardware due to the obvious
high overhead.

Avast bundles CCleaner with Avast Free Antivirus
"The installer download is placed prominently on the site however, and most users probably download and use it. The most recent installer comes with Avast Free Antivirus. It is offered on the first page of the installer, and enabled by default."
"Users who don't pay attention will install CCleaner and Avast Free Antivirus on their systems. While one could argue that offering Avast is better than many other products that are usually offered in adware installers, it is still the case that making these offers opt-out is not user friendly."
"CCleaner users who don't want Avast installed on the device they run the installer on need to uncheck the "Get Avast Free Antivirus now" box in the installer, or, and that is the highly suggested option, download the portable version of CCleaner instead as it ships without adware ." -
And all in same Package, bruh. Just click and go
But don’t download the portable. HeHe

Updating it every release isn't practical and you must learn to keep older versions if everything is working.
MR 6.x and 7.x has similar features. Hell, MR is still fast eventhough I have PM951 which is 2-3X slower than your RAID0+1 drives. I always use full image backups. Windows uses PCIe SSD and takes 10-15 mins for 40-50GB for full backup and 10 mins extra if Image verify is enabled. On Linux, the OS footprint is smaller about 14GB and full image backup takes 5 mins on Samsung 850 EVO SATA.
If I'd restore any images Linux is the fastest because of smaller footprint which takes 3 mins for a restore and for windows image restore it takes 7-8 mins on WinPE.
Versions 6 and above comes with rapid delta restore or something (I can't remember their feature list) which helps in distributing chunks of data onto disk rapidly.hmscott likes this. -
