    Hello,

I currently have Vostro 1400. I make a living using photoshop & illustrator. But, my VOSTRO 1400 is just too heavy for me to carry. I take my laptop to work everyday and it's been pain... I currently have Core 2 DUO (T7200) and wanted to know how it compares with current CULVs. Photoshop and illustrator needs fast HD and RAM. I want to know if 7200RPM HD and DDR3 can make up for lack of processing power of SU4100.

Anybody have any experience using photoshop with current CULVs?

    Thanks,

It should be fine, plenty of people run Photoshop on netbooks...

Would I see the speed/performance difference between my current notebook?

Be sure to go with a multicore ulv/sulv. Windows really likes a dual core these days and photoshop will be very happy with a dual/quad core.

Photoshop itself is pretty well multithreaded (except for the external filter/action interface but this is improved in CS5).

If you wait for the Core i7 ULV, you may have something even more powerfull than your T7200.
