    Hi,
I have a new Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop that I got last week. It seems everyday I get a physical memory dump blue screen. What can i do to prevent it?

Tell us your OS (XP, Vista, ...) and Service Pack, and whether you reinstalled the OS or are using Dell's installation. Also tell us which BIOS revision you have.

Also, run a memory test. The easiest thing is to press F12 at bootup (at the Dell splash screen) and choose diagnostics from the boot menu.

Also, when a blue screen occurs, write down which error it is (and post it here). It may be easier if you tell Windows not to reboot automatically. You can do this in the System control panel, under Advanced system settings, Startup and recovery.
