    Picture resizing software

    Are there any freeware programs that let you view and resize pictures easily? I was hoping for something were i could just type in the size.

    Something like ACDSee, FSViewer as picture browsing programs?

    You don't mean picture modifying like GIMP right?

    I'm not sure what GIMP is, but i just want to resize pictures so i can easily put them on my phone

    Picasa is free and does it very easily... but it's a whole photo organizing program.

    i use the windows powertoys pic resize app to resize my digicam pics. it's really easy to use, just select as many pics as you want and there's a 'resize pictures' option in the right click menu.

    loads quickly, great when u want to simply crop and resize an image, without opening PhotoShop

    alright..i tried picasa and couldnt find the resize option. I downloaded the image resizer from microsoft powertoys and all i can seem to find is the readme. The program isnt there. Any ideas?

    In Picasa, while you have the pictures you want selected, click export on the bottom and you're presented with this screen:

    Does anyone have experience with both picasa and faststone ? They both look pretty good to me, perhaps someone can throw up a quick comparasin?

    Particuarly looking at system rescource usage. I like lite programs, REAL lite.

    Picasa is by no means a small program. It's a photo organizing suite. You're probably better off with the other program.

    Another vote for InfranView. Much easier and lighter than Picasa. Don't know for speed, but InfranView is very fast.

    Hahaha, you can't get any more extreme on either end than that. In general, they are what I use too if I don't feel like using Picasa.
