Is it possible to play a playstation 2 game on a computer? Not using an emulator, but by using the disc.

Not possible, the PS2 uses a completely different processor architecture, and thus a completely different instruction set, than a PC. The two are incompatible without some level of software emulation acting as a translator.

    Your question is contradicting itself.

What do you want to do?

Play playstation 2 on a computer as in the computer tower? That is a emulator. Yes emulators for PS2 even work using the disk, but its still an emulator.

I think you mean play playstaiton 2 using a computer monitor?

Thats possible, here is a similar thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/477653-asus-g73jh-screen-ps3.html

In that case I recommended a HAVA since the PS3 is HD, but since a PS2 is SD the EasyCap product would work pretty good for you given that it has no lag. I never used it but used a similar product called the Game Bridge and it worked fine.
