Upon trying to uninstall steam (thought it may of been the problem) it crashes, but it also crashes when trying to open word and some other programs and is just generally slower. Please help Thanks

What kind of GPU does it have?

Was everything running fine prior to Windows 8.1?

Were drivers up to date prior to the upgrade?

Check to see if Windows 8.1 video drivers are available. You may also want to check task mgr to see if anything unusual is running in the background.

*this is why MS should have allowed for a clean install of Windows 8.1 but true to form they did not.

reinstall windows and stop running simultaneous installers even when one isn't an OS update.
