Why do you think it is the driver? If it was working and now it is not there could be many things I would do before thinking I lost the driver. Go to Control Panel and look at Device Manager and see if you have sound listed and what if anything may be wrong. Back in Control Panel look at Sound and see if there is anything wrong there, click around and look at everything, see if you can test the sound there. Look in the bottom rignt hand of your screen and see if there is a loud speaker icon and see it is muted.

Can you provide with a bit more info? Your OS version? When did this happen? What were you doing at the time? What have you tried so far to correct the issue?

    cheers ...

Like Feral1 said, (I assume you're using Windows and not Linux) try looking at the speaker icon at the bottom right corner of the screen and check if the speaker is muted.

If it is not muted, maybe there is a problem with your speakers, try using a headphone or external speakers and see if there is sound or not.

If there still is no sound, maybe it is a problem with your sound card driver, try this:
Try Right clicking on My Computer and select Properties
    Go to the Device Manager
Look and see if your sound card is detected or not... it should be under Sound, video and game controllers
If it's not there, then something is wrong with your sound card.
If it is there, try right clicking it and click on Update driver software... Windows should go online and find the correct driver for the sound card.
