    Laptop:Acer E1-571.

It's 3 weeks old. On three seperate occasions it's froze up and rebooted giving me an error message of 'DPC Watchdog Violation'.

My latest error message is this.

The only software I've downloaded is Anti-Malwarebytes.

    Thanks.

I probably would do as Mattcheau suggests also. But you sure didn't give us much info. What OS? Did you google that 'DPC Watchdog Violation' message? Win 8 people have posted lots of info on that one.

There are so many links for the DPC watchdog, apparently a common problem with Windows 8. It just makes me ill to see how M$ is treating people with this new OS, both marketing and more importantly support issues. Things are broken all over the place and just not getting fixed. Overall this is making Vista look like a overwhelming success............

Edit; one caviet though. Since they pushed the hardcore PC users away from Windows 8 with their marketing and desktop issues there are alot less of us out there doing M$'s support job for them and/or finding the fix's/issues.................

Install the latest system bios and firmware of your Hard Drive, than re-install Windows. Anti-Malwarebytes you do not need to install, Windows 8 has a good built in Antivirus.

    About 15,900 results (0.17 seconds)

For reference, "antidisestablishmentarianism" has 300,000 results.

I don't think under 16k is "so many" personally.

You can start sorting through the 15,900 results for an answer or clues to the answer. I won't bother sorting through the 300,000 links as there is no real answer.............. :)
