    Hello,

I like to record my screen. I've seen a lot of people recording their computer screen and uploading it to youtube. What is good screen recorder program. I am willing to pay extra if it's reliable.

    Thank you,

I know one program called Fraps which is used to record your computer. I personally have never used this software but have seen it used for stuff like Video Games and Tutorials. Fraps claims that "All movies are recorded in outstanding quality."

    Maybe worth checking it out

FRAPS is very popular in the gaming community for recording segments of gameplay. The files are enormous though and need to be compressed before upload to YouTube.

I'm gonna say that it does not. What I think people do is record audio and then add that commentary to the video file.

    For example:
1 - Make your screen video capture.
2 - Watch it in real time while recording your audio comments.
3 - use a program like mkvmerge, or something, to put both files in the same container (.mkv or something) and you have your tuturial!

I don't do any of this. It's all based upon guessing. I think it's a better idea for you to pose the question of how to record a tutorial and place an audio file onto it, but to wait for answers from people who actually DO that kinda thing.

I use Camstudio. The files are of course huge but they can be compressed with Any Video Converter.... or any video converter!!

Camstudio has an option to record from mic. Don't remember using it tho'.
