I just bought an hp dv6810us laptop and want to remove the partition for back-up and recovery. I already made back-up disks and want the 20 gigs the factory set up as back-up. Can someone tell me how to turn my HDD into just one drive without the partition?
    thanks in advance

Right click on "Computer" -> Manage -> Disk Management. You should see a list of all the partitions on the drive.

Right click again on the restore partitions and select delete partition. Then select the main system volume by right clicking on it and select "extend volume". Take it to it's limit and you just got back your space.
