You could buy Windowblinds. They have plenty of nice themes and they even have an Object Desktop Suite that adds on whole ton of nice, but resource hogging features.

If all you've used are the default XP themes, try the Royale and Zune themes. They both look quite nice. And if you like the dock feature on Linux and OSX, get Rocketdock. Makes opening and closing programs so much more fun.

If you simply want to change the Visual Style (Theme), check this out. There are plenty of such sites with free visual styles for XP.

you need to patch the uxtheme.dll for above themes to work

You need to be waaay more specific than that. Which feature do you want exactly? For what purpose?

I am not looking for anything in particular, just curious to see what XP can do. I know you can download something like the CUBE in Ubuntu.

If you want a dock to enable you to open programs from it, a la OSX, download Rocketdock. You can put your program icons in there, and open the programs from there. In addition, you can set it to reduce applications to the dock - a la OSX, instead of to the XP taskbar. I find this handy, as it allows me to have many more windows simultaneously open without losing track of what they are.

I can't believe I never heard of this program before, because I just download and it is great! I love how you can customize all your icons and put whatever you want without clutter your desktop. Thanks for the info man!

OH man this rocket dock is fantastic. Why havent i heard of it before?

A couple weeks back i was asking about programs to change the interface of XP, but in the end didnt find anyting really appealing, or that didnt take ages to customize.
No one mentioned this before though, guess it was just something little that i needed.

Anyone care to post screens or tell us how you are using this thing in conjunction with the windows start bar? im trying to find a good balance.

Can I make windows and apps not able to move past the rocketdock like they cant go past the taskbar?
