There was a thread about this but it's way too old and I did not feel like necroposting.

So whenever I restart, the pointer speed of the mouse(touchpad too) reverts to medium speed and on a WUXGA screen it takes ages to get from one corner to the next.
I have a Setpoint for my Logitech EX110 series -wireless keyboard+mouse and it alwasys reverts to standard for the non-logitech hardware.
    This guy sugested this :
    Didn't work for me.
    Any sugestions?

Well for me the same problem occurs for my touchpad but not for my Logitech G5 mouse... for that it works at the setting I want it to (not default) every time I boot....

I'm not sure how the touchpad would work differently, but have you tried the software that came with your comp? I know this seems silly but sometimes if you mess around enough with those kinds of software you find an option you didn't see before that could fix your problem...

Well, I have done everything I could : mess with the settings, reinstalled drivers for both the touchpad the the EX110 setup, nothing.
It's like Vista resets them to default.
