Per the title. I'm hoping no one is still using 16-bit.
I'm using 32-bit myself. At the cost of 512 MB of RAM, but I don't actually need that 512 MB so I'm fine with the small loss.

I'm using 32-Bit.
I don't need 64Bit and there really would be no point for me to upgrade to 64Bit.
(Apart from the driver hassle as Sony is extremely uncooperative on the SZ series as on all older Vaios)
Maybe if I buy a laptop in years to come with more than 4GB RAM - one that comes with 64Bit I will adopt it, else, what for?
I have no need for it.
(as of yet) -
I'm running 32bit right now, but since upgrading to 4Gb of Ram, my next format will be x64.

I'd need to vote twice for this poll: once for the 64-bit option since my desktop is running Vista 64-bit, and once for the 32-bit option since the MBP has Vista 32-bit on it.
-
I'm on Vista 64bit and have no problems. Runs smoother than 32bit.
-
I am waiting Win 7 to use X64
-
I actually use x64 Vista and x86 XP. I voted x64, however, because I'm almost always logged into Vista. I love x64. I can't wait to get Win7 x64.
-
Things is, Apollo, that if you use a 32-bit system with more RAM that it can handle, it'll actually be slower than with a little less RAM it can fully utilise. The OS does some slightly nasty operations to boot and it goes downhill from there.
64-bit is the way to go nowadays. -

im still on 32 bit.
just cudn't find any time to switch over to 64bit.
but will do soon. -
32bit XP but moving to 64bitW7 soon ...
-
I use 32-bit. Perhaps, my next lappy = 64-bit
Cin -
I would like to run a 64 bit OS if there is full support from Sony for my laptop. I use 64 bit Vista at work and it rocks.
-
Win7 x64. 32-bit is old school stuff.
-
Windows 7 64 bit goodness here
-
only 32-bit for me, no money for 64-bit
-
32-bit......don't see any need to upgrade ATM given the low-intensity stuff I do with my lappy (and the fact the upcoming gaming rig I'm building will feature 64-bit)
-
32bit... but will be going 64 when i get a new laptop. or when i decide to get more ram
-
64 on desktop and laptop but im considering going back to 32 on laptop because certain programs just doesnt work
-
I'm running 64 bit on my new HP Pavillion dv5t that I just got 3 months ago. I won't be buying another computer for a long time, so I figured I'd better get the latest and greatest on this one. So far it's perfect though, and all of the applications and programs that I run are supported.
-
Kinda surprised it's 49:51 right now. Guess I didn't realize how many NBR users were using 64-bit already. -
64-bit for me.
Despite reports, Vista64 runs pretty much everything extremely well with only a few exceptions. (Cisco VPN, Old telephony software (big surprise), and a random in-house app or two not programmed to stardards.)
Note, you DO have to run 32-bit apps in some cases as no 64-bit versionis available. (adobe flash) -
I'm on XP x86 now, but I'm hoping my next machine will have Win7 x64 with 4GB of RAM.
-
My main desktop is XP Pro 32bit. But I dual boot with Windows7 64bit beta..
Laptop is Vista 64bit
HTPC XP 32bit
2 other desktops XP 32bit eh they don't need the latest and greatest.
Windows 7 64bit is running great on my desktop so I may switch when it's released and I have no problems with Vista64 on my laptop.
I use my desktop more than laptop so I voted 32bit. Plus I use XP since all my programs are installed under that OS but I am currently installing and testing them under Windows 7 64. -
Running 64bit ..... Win7, Vista & Linux.
But I'm running XP 32bit cause XP 64bit sucks. -
Im using 32bit due to not being a fan of XP pro 64 and not having the money to upgrade vista business to 64bit.
-
I'm using 32-bit ATM. I'll switch to 64-bit when I get a computer with 8GB of RAM.
-
x64 and proud of it.

All three of my machines are running 32-bit.
-
All of my machines are 32 bit. I tried 64 bit, but one program I cannot do without, AlphaXP, doesn't work on 64 bit Windows.
-
My notebook running xp 32-bit. Since it can't support 64-bit. Maybe at next notebook.
-
Using 32-bit Vista Home Premium. It came with my laptops and I didn't bother changing to 64-bit.
-
New laptop, 4GB RAM so x64
-
Now I'm hijacking my own thread... what's the forum come to? -

32-bit. I only have 2GB of RAM, so switching to 64-bit is rather useless to me...

64-bit ftw! =D
-
Yeah, 64bit is more than just the RAM. But with current machines and apps, you won't see much benefit other than the RAM.
Anyway, my layout:
Personal lappy: 64bit Ubuntu beta releases, 32bit XP
HTPC: 32bit Ubuntu MythTV
Work lappy: 64bit Kubuntu
64bit is the only way to run... I'll move the HTPC to 64bit when I next rebuild it -
On all of my machines I use Vista x64 primarily, but have XP x86 for some legacy stuff I have to worry about. I use virtual PC with XP X86 when I can but some of it needs real video access so I'm still stuck using both for now.
-
Using Vista Home Premium x64 on a continuous basis, and I keep XP SP3 Pro (x86) in a dual-boot configuration if I end up needing it for specific software compatibility.
-
hm...while we're on the topic, how does one go about switching from 32-bit to 64-bit? I understand I'll have to reinstall the OS, but would I need to buy a whole new license? Or can I upgrade my current license for cheaper? Using home premium right now btw.
Thanks. -
AFAIK for sure, the only Vista upgrade that uses the same license key for 32- and 64-bit versions is Vista Ultimate. That might be the case for other versions, but back up just to be safe.
Keeping in mind that all versions of 64-bit Vista are on one DVD, just grab an ISO from "somewhere," burn it, and use the key on the bottom of your laptop if it can be used for 64-bit. You might need to activate the install via phone, though. -
64bit vista business...Offers great natural resistance to most 32bit viruses and trojans

Poll needs to be multichoice
-
32 bit for windows, i normally use 64bit for linux
-
I still run 32-bit version because there are too many problems with 64bit drivers
At least I got such feeling when tried to install 64bit XP on some machines. -
I am pretty impressed that >50% use 64-bit. I am using 32-bit for the moment, passing to 64-bit next week in order to be able to handle the 8GB RAM I need for an application.
Poll: Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit?
