I already have the latest Sun Java installed from java.com. When I tried to install Matlab 6.5, it insisted that I install Microsoft Java Virtual Machine first before I can proceed with Matlab installation.

My question is: if I install Microsoft Java side by side with Sun Java, will there be a potential conflict? When the two get installed, which one would become the default Java?
