I had some files/documents on my usb that i deleted all of them b/c i wanted to wipe everything then do a format due to it most likely have a virus. I had thought i saved certain files into box.com. I only however saved a portion of them and some of them i did not upload it to box.com. This is with my new sager laptop that i deleted those files from in the usb 3.0.
I also had those pictures on my old asus laptop in pictures but i deleted it. I also deleted it from recycle bin. I dont recall how long ago it was but its within the last few weeks.
Is there a way i can restore some of these documents? The thing is its mostly pictures and a few documents that i didn't save which i thought i saved on box.com.

Want to mention that its photos that i want to restore and not any documents.
Recuva, i clicked pictures. I then clicked my documents and then later recycle bin.
It shows 233gb cluster size 4096 file record size 1024 found 0 files 388,290 files ignored.
Does this mean it can't recover the pictures?
So i clicked on a button where it went to look more into it. How am i suppose to see the pictures ? Some of them show the state as excellent whereas others are poor or unrecoverable. Also why do i have photos that are last modified in 2008? I got this laptop in 2010.
okay i clicked view as thumbnails. Is that how its suppose to done? theres only like 10 pictures only available with all those files...all of them show no preview available. -

That program is a basic recovery you need something more better like Active Undelete it's more powerful. I used it and it works as long as the media wasn't formatted or wipe with "0". And as for your laptop deleted files can be recovered to a certain point but if your laptop been used since then your chances of recovery dims everyday you used that laptop since then. As for anything formatting your media or drive makes it harder to recover your data back some software allows you to reverse the formatting but then again this depends on how much formatting you did to the media or drive itself. If both been reused since that time your recovery changes drops to close to zero recovery or recovery but damaged or corrupted files. Not much one can do here but learn a hard lesson. Always check your backup source before deleting the data/files before deleting it.
